Deleting Your Tremortown Account and Data

This page explains how to delete your account and the game data stored on our servers for the game app “Tremortown.”

1. Delete in the app (completes immediately)

Open Tremortown and go to the town screen.
Tap the menu button in the top-right corner.
Choose “Delete save data,” then tap “Delete” on the confirmation screen.

Your game data on our servers and your account are deleted right away. This cannot be undone.

2. Request deletion without the app

If you have already uninstalled the app, you can request deletion by email.

Subject: “Tremortown account deletion request”
Body: the email address of the Google account you linked to Tremortown

Please send the request from the linked Google account’s email address. After verifying your identity, we will delete your data, in principle within 30 days, and let you know by email when it is done.

If you have not linked a Google account, we do not associate any email address or similar information with your game data, so we cannot identify your data from a request made outside the app. In that case, please use “1. Delete in the app” while the app is still installed. Data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

3. Data that is deleted

Your account (Firebase anonymous user ID and Google account linking information)
Game progress (town and dungeon)
Your leaderboard name and scores
Records of ad rewards and purchases being processed

4. Data kept after deletion

Irreversibly transformed play records: kept in a form that cannot be linked to your user ID, for as long as needed for game balancing (up to 1 year).
Support inquiries: kept for 1 year after the inquiry is resolved.
Purchase records: kept by Google Play, the Apple App Store, and RevenueCat under their own policies and applicable law.
Usage and diagnostic data: kept by Google Analytics for Firebase according to that service’s retention settings.
